Weekend Binge: The Railway Men

Streaming now on Netflix, The Railway Men is a four-part thriller series based on the tragedy that unfolded at the Union Carbide India Limited pesticide plant in Bhopal on 2nd-3rd December 1984. In the words of Kay Kay Menon who plays the station master, “The series is a homage to the valour of Railway Men that we all take for granted; it gives space to the unsung heroes, especially those who sacrifice themselves to save people on that fateful night of Bhopal Gas Tragedy.” The show aims to showcase the bravery of those men who mobilised the entire national network to rescue people. The series also stars R Madhavan, Divyenndu Sharma and Babil Khan.
