Ekta Kapoor & Vir Das Win Big at International Emmy Awards
At the 51st International Awards, renowned producer & filmmaker Ekta Kapoor was awarded the International Directorate Award for her significant contribution to the arts & entertainment industry. She became the first Indian woman producer to receive this award. To add more to the glory, popular actor & comedian Vir Das won the International Emmy Award in the best comedy category for his Netflix standup ‘Vir Das: Landing’. He shared this award with the British teen sitcom Derry Girls. Actor Shefali Shah was also nominated for the Best Actress award for her role in Delhi Crime but lost to Karla Souza. Nonetheless, it was a big day for the Indian Industry at the prestigious award function.
