Angkor Wat: 8th Wonder of The World
Angkor Wat in Cambodia has been declared the 8th Wonder of the World, beating Italy’s Pompeii. It was initally a Hindu temple constructed by Suryavarman II in the 12th century, and later became a Buddhist temple. The place depicts intricate wall carvings from both Hindu & Buddhist myths. Angkor Wat is the world’s largest religious structure & a UNESCO World Heritage site.
