5 Delicious winter foods to keep your warm this season
Here are 5 Indian winter delicacies that will help keep your blood warm, when the temperatures drop.
Bajra Khichdi – This is a traditional Rajasthani dish. It is rich in phosphorus, potassium, magnesium and fibre.
Sarson ka saag – This is a traditional Punjabi dish prepared with garlic, ginger and mustard greens. It is a good source of iron and dietary fibre.
Panjiri – This winter delicacy contains heat generating ingredients and is made with wheat flour, ghee, spices, cardamom and dry fruits.
Gajar ka halwa – It is a popular sweet dish made in every household during this season. Carrots contain Vitamin A, which helps strengthen the immune system.
Bisi Bele Bath – A rice-based dish from Karnataka that is made with lentils, rice, assorted vegetables, and a special spice blend called Bisi Bele Bath masala.
