Stay Hot With These At-Home Fitness Tips

From workout routines to ways to stay zen, read on for how to have a healthy, hot summer body at home.

Warm-up

Whether you are opting to walk, jog, skip or cardio machine, these exercises and other cardio-intensive exercises will help you to burn calories as well as speed up your metabolism. Aim to complete these three to five days each week for at least 30 minutes before your work out.

Weight training/conditioning

When you boost your muscle mass to your body composition, you actually burn fat. The first thing you want to do is reduce your calorie intake and this includes cutting back on foods such as fried and/or fast foods. Instead, you should eat lean protein such as chicken, fish and paneer, and reduce your empty carbs intake. Importantly, remain hydrated always.

Rest

An important part of the workout that many people forget is to rest. Rest is necessary because it facilitates the body’s recovery process. So aim to get the recommended eight hours of sleep each night.
